Structural statistics

Structural surveys within the Agriculture and Fishery Statistics Department include the Census of Agriculture (conducted exhaustively throughout the entire territory of Montenegro every ten years) and three-year surveys on the structure of agricultural holdings, conducted on a sample basis between two censuses.

Legal basis

The legal basis for conducting structural statistics is the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System (Official Gazette of Montenegro, No 18/12, 47/19 and 23/25) and the Annual Plan of Official Statistics.

Aim of the survey

The main aim of structural statistics is to provide accurate, comprehensive and internationally comparable data on the structure of agricultural holdings. The survey on the structure of agricultural holdings collects data on: land resources, livestock, agricultural production, persons engaged in agricultural production and other gainful activities related to the agricultural holding.

Survey coverage

Structural surveys cover family agricultural holdings and business entities engaged in agricultural activity.

Data confidentiality

Data obtained from reporting units are considered an official secret and are used exclusively for statistical purposes and may not be published or made available to any user. Collected individual data on agricultural holdings may be used exclusively for statistical purposes, are presented at aggregate level and are considered an official secret.
