Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses in April 2016

In April 2016 compared to April 2015, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses increased by 2.7% and the net increased weight by 7.1%. The total number of slaughtered sheep decreased (by 31.8% and net weight decreased by 33.2%), pigs decreased (by 91.3% and net weight of 93.2%) compared to the same period in 2015.

In comparison with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered cattle increased (by 28%, a net weight by 33.2%). As far as sheep’s, the total number of slaughtered animals is biger (by 39.7% and net weight of 47%), pigs are biger (by 61.7%, net weight of 5.2%).

Compared to the monthly average in 2015, in April 2016, fewer cattle slaughtered in total (by 4.8% a net weight of 5.4%), sheep total (by 55.6% and net weight of 58%) and pigs (by 92.2% and net weight of 90.2%).

The number of slaughtered poultry decreased by 4.6%, a net weight increased by 10.4% compared with the same month last year.
Compared with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered poultry decreased (by 9% and net weight increased of 6%), while compared to the actual monthly average in 2015, the number of slaughtered poultry decreased by (12.4%, the net weight increased of 2.6%).
