The utilised agricultural area in 2015 amounted to 231 405.3 ha. In the total utilised agricultural area prevalent areas are perennial meadows and pastures with a share of 94.0%, while arable land has a share of 3.0%, permanent crops of 2.2%, and kitchen gardens of 0.8%.

 

The realised yield of wheat amounted in 2015 to 2 110.5 t, which was by 2.2% less than in 2014. A decrease is also recorded for the following crops: maize for grain (18.3%), and barley (17.0 %). The total yield of oats in 2015 increased for 16.7 %. An increase is also recorded in the following crops: potatoes (14.0%), watermelons (32.3%), cabbage (1.7%), and tomatoes (11.4%).

 

The total yield increased for plums (22.5%), apples (116.6%), peaches (16.9%), while the total yield decrease for tangerine (27.3%), and olives (30.4%).
