Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) February 2016

Consumer prices in Montenegro, measured by HICP, in February 2016 decreased by 0,3% at the average as compared to January 2016. Consumer prices in February 2016 increased by 0,5%, as compared to February 2015. This was influenced mostly by decrease in prices of: fuels and lubricants; fruit; milk, cheese and eggs; vegetables; meat etc.
 
Observing the main groups, monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Transport (-1.2%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.8%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.5%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (-0.1%), while a monthly growth of prices was recorded in groups: Clothing and footwear (0.7%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.2%); Recreation and culture (0.2%); Health (0.1%); Restaurants and hotels (0.1%).
 

Positive annual inflation rates in February 2016 were observed in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.3%); Clothing and footwear (3.2%); Restaurants and Hotels (3.2%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (1.7%); Health (1.4%); Recreation and culture (1.2%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.5%); Communications (0.1%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Transport  (-4.3%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.7%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.4%).
