Legal basis for conducting this statistical survey is Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System of Montenegro (Official Gazette of Montenegro 18/12), and Regulation EU 295/2008.
METHODOLOGICAL BASES
Purpose of survey
The purpose of survey is to describe economy through the observation of units’ activity included in the economic activity as well as analysis of results of business activities, performances, efficiency, and profitability.
The purpose of Structural Business Statistics (SBS) survey is to calculate indicators necessary for the analysis of business activity structure, structure of input and output in the production process, business success, and competitiveness of economic entities on certain activity level.
Coverage of survey
Up to 2010, all enterprises were covered classified by the activity classification KD (which is harmonised with the European activity classification NACE Rev 1.1) in sectors from B to N (except for sector J – Financial and insurance activities), and sectors from P to S.
Since 2011, there are covered all enterprises that are classified by the activity classification KD2010 (which is harmonised with the European activity classification NACE Rev 2) in sectors from B to S (except for sector O – Public administration and defence; compulsory social security).
Data sources
The data sources are all business entities.
