Legal basis

The legal basis for conducting surveys in the field of crop statistics is the Law on Official Statistics and Official Statistical System (Official Gazette of Montenegro, No 18/12, 47/19 and 23/25) and the Annual Plan of Official Statistics.

Aim of the survey

The aim of surveys in the field of crop production statistics is the collection, processing and dissemination of data on areas of utilised agricultural land by category, areas, yields and production of crops.

Source of data

Data for business entities are collected by the reporting method, while data for family agricultural holdings are collected through an annual sample survey.

Data confidentiality

Data obtained from reporting units are considered an official secret and are used exclusively for statistical purposes and may not be published or made available to any user. Collected individual data on agricultural holdings may be used exclusively for statistical purposes, are presented at aggregate level and are considered an official secret.
