The objective of the statistical survey on tourist arrivals and overnight stays in collective accommodation establishments is to provide basic data on the volume of tourist traffic (arrivals and overnight stays) of domestic and foreign tourists, as well as on the accommodation capacity of these establishments.

The survey results serve as a basis for the development of tourism policy and tourism development strategies, as well as for meeting the data requirements of both national and international users.

  • 55.1 – Hotels and similar accommodation;
  • 55.2 – Holiday and other short-stay accommodation;
  • 55.3 – Camping grounds, recreational vehicle parks and trailer parks.

The data source is the guest register, which all providers of accommodation services to tourists are legally required to maintain.
