The Beginning of the survey of multiple indicators of the state of women and children in Montenegro (MICS5)

On 5 MArch 2013 at 10:00 am MONSTAT organized the press conference with the following topic: The Beginning of the survey of multiple indicators of the state of women and children in Montenegro (MICS5).

MICS5 survey was developed by UNICEF and it is an international household survey program that provides internationally comparable data on children, women and men. Survey of multiple indicators of the state of women and children in Montenegro will be continued in period from 4 March to 30 April, 2013. Implementation of this survey is the responsibility of the Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT), as the main producers of official statistics in the country, which prepared the survey with assistance of UNICEF.

This sturvey provides a comprehensive, internationally standardized and comparable information that will assist in the preparation of the national report of Montenegro on the MDGs. Also, this study will demonstrate the latest and reliable information about the children in Montenegro, which will be presented to the Committee on the Rights of the Child and that will be essential for an effective reform of the social protection system.
