15.10.2012Monthly inflation in September increased +0.4%, while the annual inflation was +4.4%
Monthly inflation measured by Consumer price index increased +0.4% in September. This was influenced mostly by the increase in prices of food; operation of personal transport equipment and clothes.
When observing the main groups.monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.4%); Transport (+1.2%); Clothing and footwear (+0.7%); Recreation and culture (+0.2%), while a decrease in prices is recorded in groups: Restaurants and hotels (-5.0%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.7%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.6%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.5%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (-0.4%); Communications (-0.2%). Prices in the groups: Health and Education remain at the same level as in the previous month.
Positive annual inflation rates in September were observed in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+10.7%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+10.1%); Hotels and restaurants (+6.7%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+5.1%); Recreation and culture (+4.1%); Transport (+3.7%); Communications (+3.7%); Health (+1.0%); while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Miscellaneous goods and services (-3.0%); Clothing and footwear (-1.3%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.6%).
