In academic year 2011/2012, there were 2 995 students enrolled at postgraduate studies as the following:    2 215 at specialist studies, 780 at master studies, and share of females is 62%.

Increase in number of students enrolled at specialist studies in comparison with previous academic year is 18%. Of the total number of students enrolled, the most, i.e. 75% were enrolled at the University of Montenegro, 11% were enrolled at University of Donja Gorica, 9% were enrolled at University Mediterranean, and 5% were enrolled at other higher education institutions.

There are 780 students enrolled at master studies, which is 27% less than in previous academic year 2010/2011. Of those, 72% were students enrolled at master studies of the University of Montenegro. Females accounted for 64% enrolled at master studies, while 36% were males.

There were 91 students enrolled at doctoral studies, of those 53% were females.
