With Census conducted in April this year, Statistical Office for the first time collected data on knowledge of foreign languages. Knowing of foreign languages is defined as ability of person to understand, speak, read and write some foreign language. Data are collected for three foreign languages the most.
All data are received exclusively based on declaration of person.
In this Release there are presented data related to foreign languages known by over one percent of population aged 15 and over and there are: English, Russian, Italian, German and French.
In Montenegro, the biggest number of population know English language-26 % from total number of population aged 15 and over. Russian language know 9 %, Italian 5 %, German 3 % and French 3 % of observed population.
