15.02.2018Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses December 2017
In December 2017 compared to the same month last year, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro, increasing 47.8% (net weight increase of 50.1%). In sheep, pigs and poultry also was a increase in the total number of slaughtered animals, compared to the same month last year.
As compared to the previous month, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro decreased by 7.2% (net weight decreased of 0.7%). Total number of slaughtered sheep was decreased, while total number slaughtered pigs was increased. The total number of slaughtered poultry is decreased by 4.4% (net weight increased by 6.2%).
In 2017 there is an increase in the slaughter of cattle. Number of slaughtered cattle is 26 693 or 32.5% more than in 2016. Increase is also present in sheep, pigs and livestock.
