Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) April 2016

Monthly inflation in April 2016 mesaured by HICP was 0.5%
 
Consumer prices in Montenegro, measured by HICP, in April 2016 increased by 0,5% at the average as compared to March 2016. Consumer prices in April 2016 decreased by 0,2%, as compared to April 2015. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: vegetables; fruit; fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment; tobacco; milk, cheese and eggs; accommodation services; shoes and other footwear.
 
Observing the main groups, monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.8%); Transport (1.4%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.6%); Clothing and footwear (0.5%); Restaurants and hotels (0.3%); Health (0.1%), while a monthly growth of prices was recorded in groups: Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.3%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.2%); Recreation and culture (-0.1%). Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
 

Positive annual inflation rates in April 2016 were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (3.5%); Restaurants and Hotels (3.5%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.1%); Health (1.4%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.6%); Recreation and culture (0.5%); Communications (0.3%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Transport (-5.4%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-2.1%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-1.1%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.3%).
