Monthly inflation in September was +0,5%

Monthly inflation measured by Consumer price index was +0.5% in September, while the annual inflation was -0.7%, up from -1.1% in August. This was influenced mostly by the increase in prices of: vegetables; garments; fruit; shoes and other footwear; solid fules.

When observing the main groups monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (+3.7%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+0.9%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+0.5%); Recreation and culture (+0.4%); Health (+0.1%), while a drop of prices was recorded in groups: Restaurants and hotels (-3.6%); Transport (-0.9%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.4%). Prices in groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco; Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance; Communications; Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.

Positive annual inflation rates in September were observed in the following groups: Health (+2.2%); Clothing and footwear (+1.8%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.8%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Communications (-3.9%); Transport (-1.6%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.4%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.0%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.9%); Restaurants and hotels (-0.6%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.4%); Recreation and culture (-0.1%).
