In Montenegro, in March 2014 tourists realised 21 674 arrivals which is 4.5% less than in March 2013. Less tourist arrivals in mountain resorts of 59.1% than in the same period previous year caused a reduction of tourist arrivals on the country level compared to March last year. The number of realised overnight stays is 83 765, which is 5.3% more than in March 2013. Overnight stays of foreign tourists represent 78.7% while the domestic tourists represent 21.3% of all overnight stays in March 2014.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists, in March 2014, the most of them were realised by tourists from Russia (23.7%), Serbia (20.0%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (11.8%), Albania (5.1%), Croatia (3.9%), Ukraine (3.2%), Italy (3.1%), Kosovo (2.9%). Tourists from other countries realised 26.4% overnight stays.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays by type of resort, the most of them were realised in seaside resorts (79.4%), in capital city (12.1%), in other tourist resorts (4.6%), in mountain resorts and other resorts.
