Monthly deflation measured by Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices was -0.3% in November. This was influenced mostly by the decrease in prices of fruit and vegetables; accommodation services; fuels and lubricant, services in restaurants, cafés and the like. Annual inflation in November was +4.8%, and it is lower than in October, when it was +4.9%.
When observing the main groups, monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and Hotels (-1.2%); Transport (-0.7%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.5%); Communications (-0.5%); Recreation and culture (-0.4%), while a growth of prices was recorded in groups: Clothing and footwear (+1.9%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.2%); Miscellaneous goods and services (+0.2%). Prices in the groups: Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels; Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance; Health; Education, remain at the same level as in the previous month.
Positive annual inflation rates in November were observed in the following groups: Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+10.1%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+8.9%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+8.7%); Clothing and footwear (+6.3%); Restaurants and Hotels (+4.2%); Communications (+2.6%); Transport (+1.9%); Health (+0.4%); while negative annual inflation rates were observed in groups: Miscellaneous goods and services (-2.2%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.0%), Recreation and culture (-0.1%).
