The total quantity of cow’s milk purchased by dairies operating in Montenegro in the second quarter of 2026 amounted to 8 145 525 kg, representing an increase of 5.8% compared to the same quarter of 2025.
The average milk fat content in the second quarter of 2026 decreased by 3.1% compared to the second quarter of 2025, while the protein content decreased by 0.2%.
In the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter of 2025, an increase was recorded in the production of cream by 10.5% and fermented dairy products by 8.1%, while a decrease was recorded in the production of traditional butter by 14.1%, drinking milk by 11.2%, and cheese by 1.3%.
