In the academic year 2025/2026, at the higher education institutions in Montenegro, there were 4 071 students enrolled at postgraduate studies and doctoral studies.
There were 3 840 students enrolled at postgraduate studies, as follows: 758 at specialist studies, 3 082 at master studies. Among the total number of students, the share of females is 62%, and the share of males is 38%.
The number of students enrolled at specialist studies increased by 1.7% compared to the previous academic year. In specialist studies, 57.1% are female, and 42.9% are male.
There are 3 082 students enrolled at master studies which is 3.6% less than in previous academic year 2024/2025. Of the total number of students enrolled in master studies, 84.5% were in public higher education institutions, while 15.5% were in private higher education institutions. In master's studies 63.2% were females while 36.8% were males.
