Transport of passengers in the second quarter 2025 compared to the same quarter of the previous year records in: railway transport decrease by 5.8%, road transport increase by 4.6%, local road transport decrease by 21.9%, and passengers in airports increase by 11.0%.
Transport of goods in the second quarter 2025 compared to the same quarter of the previous year records in: railway transport increase for 30.8%, road transport decrease for 2.0%, total traffic of goods in ports increase for 0.6%, and goods in airports decrease for 3.0%.
Number of transhipped tonnes in ports in the second quarter 2025 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decrease by 7.3%, and handled tonnes increase by 4.1%.
Total number of traffic accidents1 in the second quarter 2025 was 1 732 which is 5.5% higher than in the same quarter of the previous year. Number of casualties2 in the second quarter 2025 was 822 (out of which there are 803 injured persons), which is 2.2% an increase of in the same quarter of the previous year.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the second quarter 2025 is 84 296, which is an increase of 7.9% in comparison with the same quarter of the previous year. Number of the first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the second quarter 2025 is 9 982, which is an decrease of 5.0% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
