International trade in goods of Montenegro
The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for January-February 2025 according to the preliminary results is 660.2 million EUR, indicating a growth of 2.7% in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The value of exports of goods was 96.9 million EUR, and import was 563.3 million EUR. Compared to the same month of last year, exports decreased by 10.3%, while imports increased by 5.3%.
The coverage of import by export was 17.2% and it was lower compared to the coverage for the same month of the previous year when it was 20.2%.
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (Section 3), in amount of 33.2 million EUR (consisted of Electric current – 29.2 million EUR and other).
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) in amount of 144.4 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles - 61.8 million EUR and other).
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (22.2 million EUR), Slovenia (14.5 million EUR) and Switzerland (11.3 million EUR).
Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (91.4 million EUR), China (76.5 million EUR) and Germany (57.3 million EUR). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
