In Montenegro, in December 2011, tourists realised 16 369 arrivals which is 16.1% more than in December 2010, while they made 46 353 overnight stays which is 4.2% more than in December  2010. Overnight stays of domestic tourists represent 19.4%, while the foreign tourists represent 80.6% of all overnight stays in December 2011. From January to December 2011, tourists realized 1 373 454 arrivals, which is 8.7% more compared to the same period last year, and 8 775 171 overnight stays which is 10.2% more compared to the same period last year. Number of overnight stays of domestic tourists decreased 3.2%, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists increased 12.0%.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists the most of them were realised by tourists from Serbia (17.0%), Russia (12.4%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (10.8%), Albania (7.8%), Italy (5.0%), Macedonia (4.2%), Croatia (3.5%)  and other countries.

Concerning the structure of overnight stays by type of resort, the most of them were realised in seaside resorts (70.1%), in capital city (14.4%), in mountain resorts (8.0%), in other tourist resorts and other resorts.
