In the first quarter of 2022 there was an increase in the slaughter of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro. Number of slaughtered cattle is 7 595 or 2.6% more than in the first quarter of 2021. The net weight of slaughtered cattle in the first quarter of 2022 increased by 0.6%.
The total number of slaughtered sheep in the first quarter of 2022 increased by 14.7% compared to the first quarter 2021.The net weight of slaughtered sheep in the first quarter of 2022. decreased by 1.6%.The total number of slaughtered pigs decreased by 17.3%, compared to the same quarter of 2021, while the total number of slaughtered poultry increased by 0.6%.
