Consumer price indices February 2021
Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by consumer price index, in February 2021, as compared to January 2021, increased by 0.5% on average. Consumer prices in February 2021, as compared to February 2020, decreased by 0.1% on average. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment; vegetables; fruit; shoes and other footwear; milk, cheese and eggs; oils and fats; bread and cereals. Consumer prices in period January-February 2021 compared to the same period of previous year, were lower for 0.4% in average.
Observing the main groups by purpose of consumption, in February 2021, as compared to January 2021, monthly increase of prices was noticed in the following groups: Transport (1.5%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.7%); Miscellaneous goods and services (0.5%); Health (0.3%); Clothing and footwear (0.1%); Recreation and culture (0.1%); Restaurants and hotels (0.1%), while decrease of prices was recorded in group Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.1%).
Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
