In March 2020 compared to the same month last year, the total number of slaughter cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro, increasing 16.6% (net weight increase of 25.7%). Decrease was on total number of slaughtered sheep and pigs compared to the same month of the previous year. The total number of slaughtered poultry it is increased.

As compared to the previous month, the total number of slaughter cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro increased by 13.8% (net weight increased of 9.3%). Increase was on total number of slaughtered sheep compared to the previous month, while decrease was on total number of slaughtered pigs compared to the previous month. The total number of slaughtered poultry is decreased by 13.6% (net weight decreased by 12.8%).

In the period from January to March 2020 was increase in the slaughter of cattle. Number of slaughtered cattle is 7 732 or 19.3% more than in the same period of 2019. Increase in slaughter for the same period is present in sheep and poultry, while in pigs is decrease.
