Annual inflation rate in October was 3.9%


Monthly inflation measured by Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices in September increased 0.4%. The highest influence of monthly inflation was noticed because of the increase of price for vegetables and fuels and lubricants. Annual inflation in October amounted +3.9% and it is higher compared to September when it was +3.7%.

When observing the main groups, monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups:
Health (+1.5%), Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.0%), Transport (+0.5%), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+0.2%), Miscellaneous goods and services (+0.2%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.1%), Clothing and footwear (+0.1%), Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (+0.1%), while a decrease was noticed in the group Recreation and culture (-0.1%). Prices in the groups: Communications, Education and Hotels and restaurants remain at the same level as in the previous month.

Positive annual inflation rates in September were observed in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+15.2%); Health (+13.6%); Transport (+7.5%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+5.0%); Communications (+3.0%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+1.7%), Miscellaneous goods and services (+1.7%), Hotels and restaurants (+1.1%); Clothing and footwear (+1.0%) and Recreation and culture (+0.2%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Education (-0.5%) and Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.1%).
