The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January –June 2019 according to preliminary results is 1 432 million EUR, indicating the growth of 1.9% in comparison with the same period for previous year.

 

The value of exports of goods was 192,3 million EUR, and import was 1 239,5 million EUR. Compared with the same period of 2018, exports decreased 3.8%, and imports increased 2.8%.

 

The coverage of import by export was 15.5% and it was lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year when it was 16.6%.

 

In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of 49,5 million EUR (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals 31,8 –million EUR, Iron and steel –10,9 million EUR and other).

 

In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with 290,3 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles –96,5 million EUR, Industrial machines for general use–49,5 million EUR and other).

 

Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (46,3 million EUR), Hungary (23,7 million EUR) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (15,9 million EUR).
