The data provided in this survey refer to number of departments, pupils, and teachers (by gender, class, and municipality), in primary schools at the beginning of school year 2010/2011 in Montenegro.
Regular primary schools in Montenegro, in school year 2010/2011 were attended by 70 936, showing a decrease of 3% compared with previous 2009/2010. Of those, 48% are girls.
The number of departments in primary schools in Montenegro is 3 324, thus there are 21 pupils per department in average.
In regards with the fact that 4 962 teachers work in Montenegro, we reach the conclusion that there are 14 pupils per one teacher.Of the total number of teachers, 73% are women.
The number of pupils enrolled in the first grade is 7 355, showing a decrease of 6% compared with school year 2009/2010. Of the total number of enrolled pupils, 49% are girls.
