External trade in goods of Montenegro January - December 2018

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-December 2018 is EUR 2 954.4 million, indicating the growth of 10% in comparison with the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 400 million EUR, and import was 2 554 million EUR. Compared with the same period of 2017, exports increased 7,7%, and imports increased 10,9%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 15,7% and it was lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (16,1%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of 107.2 million EUR (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - 74 million EUR, and Iron and steel - 18.9 million EUR and other).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with 638.1 million EUR (consisted of: Road vehicles - 187.2 million EUR, Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances -124.3 million EUR and other).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 93 million), Hungary (46 million EUR) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (31 million EUR).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (492 million EUR), China (257 million EUR) and Germany (235 million EUR). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
