Quarterly statistics of transport III quarter 2018

Transport of passengers in the third quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in rail transport for 18.3%, road transport by 0.3%, local road for 0.4%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 10.8 %, scheduled air transport for 12.6% and non scheduled air for 73.3%.
 
The transport of goods in the third quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter last year decreased on the total turnover of goods in ports by 15.7%, rail transport for 50.3%, while in transport of goods on the airports increased by 5.2%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the third quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 26.5%, in the manipulated tonnes by 19.1%.
 
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the third quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 17.1% at the minutes of mobile telephony increase by 1.6%.
 
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the third quarter 2018 totaled 1 805 which is 5.6% more than the same quarter of the 2017. Number of casualies2 in the third quarter 2018 amounted to 849 (of which 829 injuries), which is 2.7% less than the same quarter 2017.
 
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the third quarter 2018 is 64 243 which is a increase of 6.8% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the third quarter 2018 is 6 182 which is a increase of 11.9% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
 

In the third quarter of 2018 road goods motor vehicles transported a 203 thousands tons of goods and performed 19 695 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 973 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 92.1% or 187 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 7.9%, or 16 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 66.9% or 13 184 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 33.1% or 6 511 thousands tonne-kilometers.
