As compared to the previous month, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro increased by 7.3% (net weight increased of 15.4%). Increased was on total number of slaughtered sheep, but decrease was on total number of slaughtered pigs. The total number of slaughtered poultry is increased by 0.3% (net weight increased by 3.2%).

In the period from January to August 2018 was increase in the slaughter of cattle. Number of slaughtered cattle is 20 421 or 24.3% more than in the same period of 2017. Increase is also present in sheep, pigs and poultry.
