In May 2018 compared to the same month last year, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro, increasing 27% (net weight increase of 12.2%). In sheep, pigs and poultry also was a increase in the total number of slaughtered animals compared to the same month last year.

As compared to the previous month, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses in Montenegro increased by 10.6% (net weight decreased of 4.8%). Also increased was on total number of slaughtered sheep and on total number of slaughtered pigs. The total number of slaughtered poultry is decreased by 8.2% (net weight decreased by 6.4%).

In the period from January to May 2018 was increase in the slaughter of cattle. Number of slaughtered cattle is 11 673 or 31.4% more than in the same period of 2017. Increase is also present in sheep, pigs and poultry.
