The volume of water abstracted from business entities that manage public water supply and sewage in Montenegro in 2017 compared to 2014 increased by 7.9%. Volume of water abstracted by businesses that manage public water supply and public sewage system in 2017 amounted to 119 048 000 m3. Water is mainly abstracted from groundwater and spring water 78.2%, 1.7% is abstracted from surface water, while 20.1% of the total volume of water abstracted is from other water supply systems.

 

In 2017 water distributed in Montenegro amounted to 47 690 000 m3, which is 4.9% more than in 2014. Water losses in Montenegro in 2017 compared to 2014, increased by 10.1% and amounted to 71 358 000 m3.

 

Length of public water supply in 2017 amounted to 5 387 km.

 

The total amount of wastewater from settlements in Montenegro in 2017 amounted to 20 417 000 m3. Compared with the 2014 it decreased by 34.2%. The amount of treated wastewater in 2017 increased by 21.9% compared to 2014.
