Total foreign trade exchange of Montenegro for period January- June 2011 according to preliminary data was EUR 1 055 million which shows increase of 17.6%  comparing to the same period of previous year. 

Good exported valued up to EUR 213,4  million , that is more for 50.1% comparing to the same period of previous year and it was imported  in value of EUR 841,5 mil.eura million euros that is more for 11.5% comparing to the same period of previous year.
The coverage of the export by import was 25.4% and it is bigger comparing to coverage in the same period of previous year when it was 18.8%.
In the structure of export according to SITC there are represented the most Products classified by material from Sector 6 ,in the amount of EUR 105,9 million (which is consisted of  Non-ferrous metals in the amount of  EUR 97,6 million of  and  Iron and steel  in the amount of  EUR 4,5 million).
In the structure of import according to SITC there are represented the most products from Sector 0 – Food and live animals in the amount of EUR 159,7 million which is consisted of, meat and fabricated met in the amount of EUR  32,million and cereals and cereal products in the amount of EUR 27,million).
In export, main foreign trade partner, individually were: Hungary (EUR 44.million), Serbia (EUR 42.7million ) and Greece  (EUR 33.8million).
In import, main foreign trade partner, individually were: Serbia (EUR 233,3 million), Greece (EUR 67.1 million) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 63.6 million). Foreign trade exchange was biggest with the countries subscribers of CEFTA agreement and European Union.
