Transport of passengers in the third quarter 2023 compared to the same quarter of the previous year records in: railway transport increase by 18.5%, road transport increase by 19.6%, local road transport increase by 16.8%, and passengers in airports increase by 27.6%.
Transport of goods in the third quarter 2023 compared to the same quarter of the previous year records in: railway transport a decrease of 0.3%, road transport an increase of 0.9%, total traffic of goods in ports a decrease of 22.1%, and goods in airports an increase of 62.1%.
Number of transhipped tonnes in ports in the third quarter 2023 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decrease by 26.8%, and handled tonnes decrease by 20.0%.
Total number of traffic accidents1 in the third quarter 2023 was 2 043 which is 27.8% higher than in the same quarter of the previous year. Number of casualties2 in the third quarter 2023 was 964 (out of which there are 945 injured persons), which is 6.5% an increase of in the same quarter of the previous year.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the third quarter 2023 is 80 109, which is an increase of 11.5% in comparison with the same quarter of the previous year. Number of the first-time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the third quarter 2023 is 8 190, which is an increase of 77.0% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
