Transport of passengers in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in rail transport for 37.8%, road transport by 125.9%, local road for 27.8%, passenger transport at airports 291.0%, the scheduled air transport for 26,2%.

The transport of goods in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter last year increased in the transport of goods at airports by 96.9%, while the transport of goods by rail decreased by 14.3%, the total turnover of goods in ports is at the same level.

Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 1.5%, in the manipulated tonnes by 0.7%.

Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the third quarter 2021 totaled 1 951 which is 46.3% more than the same quarter of previous year. Number of casualies2 in the third quarter 2021 amounted to 1 028 (of which 1 009 injuries), which is 58.9% more than the same quarter of previous year.

Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the third quarter 2021 is 70 141 which is a decrease of 1.6% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the third quarter 2021 is 4 667 which is a increase of 6.1% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.

In the third quarter of 2021 road goods motor vehicles transported a 232 thousands tons of goods and performed 30 509 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 1 503 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 89.2% or 207 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 10.8%, or 25 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 54.7% or 16 682 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 45.3% or 13 827 thousands tonne-kilometers.
