Transport of passengers in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased in rail transport for 51.3%, road transport by 59.0%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 71.2%, while increase recordered in local road by 15.0%.

The transport of goods in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter last year decreased in rail transport for 40.8%, on total turnover of goods in ports by 34.0% and in transport of goods on the airports by 43.1%.

Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased by 35.8% and manipulated by 17.5%.

Total number of injury accidents on roads in the first quarter 2021 totaled 1 161 which is 10.2% more than the same quarter of previous year. Number of casualies in the first quarter 2021 amounted to 472 (of which 465 injuries), which is 4.8% less than the same quarter of previous year.

Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the first quarter 2021 is 51 173 which is 9.3% more than the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the first quarter 2021 is 3 504 which is a decrease of 25.0% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
In the first quarter of 2021 road goods motor vehicles transported a 195 thousands tons of goods and performed 27 040 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 1 332 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 90.3% or 176 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 9.7%, or 19 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 71.9% or 19 453 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 28.1% or 7 587 thousands tonne-kilometers.
