Quarterly statistics of transport III quarter 2020

Transport of passengers in the third quarter of 2020, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased in rail transport for 50.2%, road transport by 75.7%, local road for 28.0%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 84.1%, scheduled air transport for 80.7% and non scheduled air for 94.8%.
The transport of goods in the third quarter of 2020, compared to the same quarter last year increased on the rail transport for 22.9%, while decrease registered in total turnover of goods in ports by 12.5% and in transport of goods on the airports by 70.5%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the third quarter of 2020, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 8.7%, while in the manipulated tonnes increased by 7.5%.
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the third quarter 2020 totaled 1 334 which is 30.6% less than the same quarter of previous year. Number of casualies2 in the third quarter 2020 amounted to 647 (of which 629 injuries), which is 23.6% less than the same quarter of previous year.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the third quarter 2020 is 71 307 which is a increase of 4.1% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of second time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the third quarter 2020 is 4 398 which is a decrease of 24.9% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
In the third quarter of 2020 road goods motor vehicles transported a 200 thousands tons of goods and performed 21 952 thousand tonne-kilometers. Kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles was 1 076 thousands kilometres. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 90.5% or 181 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 9.5%, or 19 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 66.0% or 14 485 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 34.0% or 7 467 thousands tonne-kilometers.
