Consumer price indices October 2020
Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by consumer price index, in October 2020, as compared to September 2020, decreased by 0.1% on average. Consumer prices in October 2020, as compared to October 2019, decreased by 0.6% on average. This was influenced mostly by decrease in prices of: fruit; accommodation services; fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment; milk, cheese and eggs; bread and cereals. Consumer prices in period January-October 2020 compared to the same period of previous year, were lower for 0.1% in average.
Observing the main groups by purpose of consumption, in October 2020, as compared to September 2020, monthly decrease of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and hotels (-1.4%); Transport (-0.4%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.2%); Communication (-0.1%), while increase of prices was recorded in groups: Clothing and footwear (0.3%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.1%); Miscellaneous goods and services (0.1%).
Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
