Transport of passengers in the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter of the previous year increased in road transport by 0.1%, local road for 3.8%, the carriage of passengers at airports by 14.5%, scheduled air transport for 5.1%, while decreased in rail transport for 3.2% and non scheduled air for 51.7%.
The transport of goods in the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter last year increased on the rail transport for 36.2% and on transpored goods on the airports for 0.9%, while the total turnover decreased by 3.2%.
Number of trans-shipment tonnes in the ports in the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 9.6%, while the manipulated tonnes increased by 14.7%.
Number of minutes in fixed telecommunication in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the same quarter of the previous year decreased by 10.1% while minutes of mobile telephony increased by 2.3%.
Total number of injury accidents1 on roads in the fourth quarter 2019 totaled 1 554 which is 7.2% more than the same quarter of previous year. Number of casualies2 in the fourth quarter 2019 amounted to 732 (of which 722 injuries), which is 13.7% more than the same quarter previous year.
Number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers in the fourth quarter 2019 is 62 545 which is a increase of 4.4% in comparison with the same quarter of previous year. Number of first time registered road motor vehicles and trailers3 in the fourth quarter 2019 is 5 658 which is a decrease of 10.1% in comparison with the same quater of previous year.
In the fourth quarter of 2019 road goods motor vehicles transported a 219 thousands tons of goods and performed 21 626 thousand tonne-kilometers. In the structure of transported goods, national transport participates with 92.7% or 203 thousands tons of goods, while international transport participates with 7.3%, or 16 thousands tons of goods. In the structure of performed tonne-kilometers internal transport participates with 64.7% or 13 983 thousands tonne-kilometers and international transport with 35.3% or 7 643 thousands tonne-kilometers.
