External trade in goods of Montenegro January-June 2017

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-June 2017 is EUR 1 227.2 million, indicating the growth of 9.2% in comparison with the previous year.
The value of exports of goods was 166.7 million EUR, and import was 1 060.5 million EUR. compared with the same period of 2016, exports increased 14.4%, and imports increased 8.4%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 15.7% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (14.9%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of EUR 49.3 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - EUR 34.7 million, and Iron and steel - EUR 8.3 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 250.5 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 77.3 million, General industrial machinery and equipment - EUR 47.8 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 30 million) Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 22 million) and Hungary (EUR 16.5 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 229.6 million), China (EUR 98.2 million) and Germany (EUR 91.1 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
