External trade in goods of Montenegro January - April 2017

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-April 2017 is EUR 748.3 million, indicating the growth of 14,5% in comparison with the previous year.
 
The value of exports of goods was 112.6 million EUR, and import was 635.7 million EUR. Compared with the same period of 2016, exports increased 28.2%, and imports increased 12.4%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 17.7% and it was higher compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year (15.5%).
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Crude materials, inedible, except fuels (Section 2), in amount of EUR 33.2 million (consisted of: Metalliferous ores and metal scrap - EUR 25 million, and Cork and wood - EUR 5.8 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 151.2 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 47.9 million, General industrial machinery and equipment - EUR 28.6 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 20 million) Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 15.3 million) and Hong Kong (EUR 12.8 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 136.2 million), China (EUR 58.8 million) and Germany (EUR 54.8 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
