External trade in goods of Montenegro January-December 2016

The total external trade in goods of Montenegro for period January-December 2016 is EUR 2 388 million, indicating the growth of 10.6% in comparison with the previous year.
The value of exports of goods was 325.8 million EUR, and import was 2 061.7 million EUR. Compared with the same period of 2015, exports increased 2.7%, and imports increased 12%.
 
The coverage of import by export was 15.8% and it was lower compared to the coverage for the same period of 2015 when it was 17.2%.
 
In the structure of exports, in accordance with the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), the most present products were Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (Section 6), in amount of EUR 86.6 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals - EUR 63 million, and Iron and steel - EUR 14.3 million).
 
In the structure of imports, in accordance with the SITC, the most present products were Machinery and transport equipment (Section 7) with EUR 527.8 million (consisted of: Road vehicles - EUR 134.7 million, and Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances - EUR 129.9 million).
 
Main trading partners in exports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 82 million), Hungary (EUR 34.9 million) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 26.6 million).
 

Main trading partners in imports on an individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 457.3 million), Germany (EUR 217.2 million), and China (EUR 185.2 million). The highest external trade was with CEFTA parties and the EU member states.
