Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) September 2016

Consumer prices in Montenegro, measured by HICP, in September 2016 increased by 0,1% at the average as compared to August 2016. Consumer prices in September 2016 increased by 0,2% as compared to September 2015. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: garments; shoes and other footwear; vegetables; meat; solid fuels; fruit; actual rentals paid tenants and other actual rentals etc.
 
Observing the main groups, monthly growth of prices was noticed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (6.7%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.8%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.4%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.1%); Miscellaneous goods and services (0.1%), while a monthly drop of prices was recorded in group Restaurants and hotels (-2.7%).
 
Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.
 

Positive annual inflation rates in September 2016 were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (6.0%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.6%); Restaurants and Hotels (2.5%); Health (2.4%); Communications (0.5%); Recreation and culture (0.2%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Transport (-4.6%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.2%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.9%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.7%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.4%).
