Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses in May 2016

In May 2016 compared to May 2015, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses increased by 5.7% (the net increased weight by 18.4%). The total number of slaughtered sheep decreased by 28.3% (net weight decreased by 21.3%), pigs decreased by 78% (net weight of 91.6%) compared to the same period in 2015.
 
In comparison with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered cattle increased by 6.5 (net weight by 11.6%). As far as sheep’s, the total number of slaughtered animals is biger by 26.5% (net weight of 25.6%), pigs are biger by 152.7% (net weight of 19.2%).
 
Compared to the monthly average in 2015, in May 2016, more cattle slaughtered in total by 1.4% (net weight of 5.5%), sheep total less by 43.8% (net weight of 47.3%) and pigs less by 80.4% (net weight of 88.3%).
 

The number of slaughtered poultry increased by 14.4% (net weight increased by 18.4%) compared with the same month last year. Compared with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered poultry increased by 56.6% (net weight increased of 41.5%), while compared to the actual monthly average in 2015, the number of slaughtered poultry increased by 37.1% (the net weight increased of 45.2%).
