Adult perpetrators of crimes 2015
Data in release are related to the number reported, accused and convicted adult persons – perpetrators of crime in Montenegro, in 2015.
Total number of reported known adult perpetrators of crime in 2015 was 4 531, showing a decrease of 10.4% compared to 2014. The number of unknown perpetrators of crime was 2 178, i.e. 32.5%.
Number of accused adult perpetrators of crime was 2 638, compared with the previous year showing an increased of 3.7%, and number of convicted adult perpetrators of crime was 2 348 and showing increase of 1.6% compared to 2014.
In the structure of criminal acts that have made adult persons, criminal offences against property was the most frequent:
- the share of reported adult persons for crimes against property in relation to total number of reported adult persons was 21.1%,
- the share of accused adult persons for crimes against property in relation to total number of accused adult persons was 24.7%,
- the share of convicted adult persons for crimes against property in relation to total number of convicted adult persons was 25.2%.
When it comes to the most serious crimes - crimes against life and body:
- the share of reported adult persons for crimes against life and body in relation to total number of reported adult persons was 8.1%,
- the share of accused adult persons for crimes against life and body in relation to total number of accused adult persons was 10.4%,
- the share of convicted adult persons for crimes against life and body in relation to total number of convicted adult persons was 10.8%.
