This release contains data received through the Labour Force Survey conducted in the 2015, and the observation period was from January to December 2015. The surveying was done in 8 156 households on the territory of Montenegro. The survey collected data about demographic characteristics for members of the households (25 465 persons were surveyed), and data about economic activity for persons aged 15 and more (21 127 persons, which makes 1.2% of the total number of interwied persons aged 15 and more).

 

According to data for four quarter in the 2015 labor force in Montenegro consist of 268.9 thousand of active population. From that number there were: 221.7 thousand persons in employment or 82.4%; unemployed persons 47.2 thousand or 17.6%. The number of persons in employment in comparison with the previous year has increased 2.5% and the number of unemployed persons has decreased 0.6%.

 

The activity rate for the 2015 is 53.7%, the employment rate is 44.3% and unemployment rate is 17.6%.

 

Measures of the activity of the population for 15-64 age groups are: the activity rate is 62.6%, the employment rate is 51.4% and the unemployment rate is 17.8%.
