Livestock slaughtering in slaughterhouses in January 2016

In January 2016 compared to January 2015, the total number of cattle in slaughterhouses decreased by 5.2% and the net weight increased by 3.7%. The total number of slaughtered sheep decreased (by 2.4% and net weight increased by 26.7%), pigs (by 66.3% and net weight of 81%) compared to the same period in 2015. 
 
In comparison with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 5.2%, a net weight by 28.6%. As far as sheep’s, the total number of slaughtered animals is lower (by 33.1% and net weight of 24%), pigs (by 77.2%, and net weight of 75.6%). 
 
Compared to the monthly average in 2015, in January 2016, fewer cattle slaughtered in total (by 24% a net weight of 26.4%), sheep total (by 35.1% and net weight of 20, 6%) and pigs (by 23.6% and net weight of 64.3%). 
 

The number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 23%, a net weight by 20% compared with the same month last year. Compared with the previous month, the total number of slaughtered cattle decreased (by 30.4% and net weight of 25.9%), while compared to the actual monthly average in 2015, the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by (25.9%, the net weight of 22.6%).
