Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) December 2015

Consumer prices in Montenegro, measured by HICP, in December 2015 decreased by 0,3% at the average as compared to November 2015. Consumer prices in December 2015 increased by 1,7%, as compared to December 2014. Growth rate of consumer prices in period JanuaryDecember 2015 compared with the same period of previous year was 1.4%. 
 
Observing the main groups, monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Transport (-1.8%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.3%); Clothing and footwear (-0.3%); Restaurants and hotels (-0.2%); Recreation and culture (-0.1%), while a monthly growth of prices was recorded in groups: Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.1%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.1%). Prices of other products and services mostly remained unchanged.   
 

Positive annual inflation rates in December were observed in the following groups: Clothing and footwear (4.9%); Restaurants and Hotels (4.2%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.4%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.4%); Health (1.5%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.4%); Recreation and culture (1.4%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (1.2%); Miscellaneous goods and services (0.4%); Communications (0.1%), while negative annual inflation rate was observed in group Transport (-4.4%).
