External trade of Montenegro January-May 2015

The total external trade of Montenegro for period January-May 2015 is EUR 772.1 million, indicating the drop of 0.5% in comparison with the same month of the previous year.

The value of exports of goods is EUR 108.6 million, what is 8.2% lower compared to the same period of previous year, and imports are EUR 663.5 million, what is 0.8% more compared to the same period of previous year. The coverage of import by export is 16.4%, and it is lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year, when it was 18%.

Structure of exports in accordance with the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) the most present products are Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material – Section 6, in amount of EUR 34.1 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals with the amount of EUR 22 million, and Iron and steel with EUR 10 million).

The structure of imports in accordance with the classification SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) is presented mostly products of Section 7 – Machinery and transport equipment with EUR 140.1 million (consisted of: Road vehicles with EUR 43.5 million, and Electrical machinery, apparatus and appliances with EUR 29.2 million).

Main trading partners in exports with individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 25.5 million), Italia (EUR 17 million) and Bosnia and Hercegovina (EUR 15.4 million).

Main trading partners in imports with individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 177.8 million), China (EUR 59.8 million), and Bosnia and Hercegovina (EUR 50.1 million). The highest external trade trend was with CEFTA and EU countries.
