Monthly deflation in November was -0.2%

Monthly deflation measured by Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices was -0.2% in November 2014. This was influenced mostly by decrease in prices of: accommodation services; fruit; fuels and lubricants for personal transport; hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments; vegetables.

When observing the main groups, monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Restaurants and Hotels (-0.8%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.6%); Transport (-0.4%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.2%); Clothing and footwear (-0.2%), while a growth of prices was recorded in groups: Health (+1.2%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (+0.2%); Recreation and culture (+0.2%).

European Union annual inflation was 0.4% in November 2014, down from 0.5 in October, while Euro area annual inflation was 0.3%, down from 0.4% in October. In Montenegro, in November 2014, consumer prices measured by the HICP, compared with the same month of the previous year were lower for -0.3%.

Positive annual inflation rates in November were observed in the following groups: Health (+3.5%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+1.5%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.0%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Communications (-3.5%); Transport (-2.5%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.5%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.8%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.6%); Restaurants and Hotels (-0.6%); Recreation and culture (-0.5%).
